Studio helps you control playback, build playlists, discover music, and play the audio you create.
From the start, Studio understands your Spotify history: like what you listen to and watch. Recommendations personalized for you.
Personal Podcasts made from your week, your artists, your inbox. Things that only exist because you're you.
Not a podcast you find. One that gets made for you.
Describe your Personal Podcast, and Studio handles the rest, turning your calendar, inbox, and more into audio saved to your Spotify library.
Release updates from your followed artists, what's on today, a few stories you'd actually read. A few minutes, every morning, made for today only.
"Every morning at 6:30, make me a short podcast and save it to Spotify."
An episode on any topic, researched from your notes, highlights, or world knowledge. Your own documentary.
"Make me an episode on the history of UK post-punk. Use my highlights too."
With your permission, Studio reads your email bookings, saved Maps lists, and notes — and builds an audio guide for the trip.
"Make me an audio guide for my Tokyo trip next month."
Studio by Spotify Labs can research, recommend, plan, and draft. It starts from your taste. Planning a trip? It builds the itinerary, books worth reading, and a soundtrack to match. Want a recommendation? It knows why you'd like it.
At your request, Studio can work in the background, so you don't have to ask every time. You can also message Studio from the Spotify mobile app. Your computer must be on for scheduled tasks to run.
At 7am, Studio reads your taste, picks new episodes, and starts playing.
Get a playlist every Friday, filtered through your taste. You don't have to ask again.
Studio will keep an eye out for you. Because it understands your audiobook history, it knows what counts as relevant.
Studio only makes changes when you ask it to. It can create new playlists or update existing ones based on your prompts, and you remain in control of what gets saved to your library.
No, they're optional. Connecting them gives Studio by Spotify Labs more to work with (what's on today, anything urgent in your inbox) but nothing beyond your Spotify account is required.
Your messages are processed by an AI provider that acts as a service partner to Spotify. Your data is not used to train their models.
Yes. You can ask Studio to forget specific information at any time. Its memory, preferences, and conversation history are stored locally on your device and can be inspected or deleted directly. Note that your Spotify account information is always accessible to Studio — this is what it runs on and can't be removed. Spotify-hosted content remains on Spotify unless you delete it there.
Most agents start from scratch with every user. Studio by Spotify Labs starts from years of your actual listening: your artists, your routines, your taste at 2am versus Saturday morning.
Yes. You can send messages to Studio from the Spotify mobile app. To connect, tap your profile picture and find Studio in the Messages section, then follow the instructions to sync. Your computer needs to be on and running Studio to respond — scheduled tasks and audio creation run there too.
Download Studio from the latest version of Spotify on macOS. Available to select Spotify Premium users aged 18+ in select markets. Usage limits apply. Learn more about Studio here.
